I am interested in joining LPH. What do I do, and what is the process?
You must first be academically eligible. Please refer to our eligibility requirements. At the beginning of each semester, we launch an application via email. Please complete and submit the application before the set deadline in order to be considered. Applicants will be notified of their submission status via email one to two weeks after application deadline.
I want to join LPH but didn't fill out the application in time, can I still apply?
Unfortunately we do not accept applications once the application deadline has passed. You will have to wait until the next semester to apply.
How do I stay up-to-date with LPH?
All members will recieve an LPH newsletter that contains all information regarding events and other logistics, Although newsletters are our main form of communication, events will always be posted on our website and social media.
What does Lambda Pi Eta offer to its members?
At USC Annenberg, LPH is the number one student organization that brings various professional, personal and social networking events to its members. This is a chance to not only build your professional skills but also a chance to converse and build lifelong bonds with your fellow Annenberg Trojans. Starting Fall, 2016 LPH is teaming up with the USC entrepreneurial fraternity Sigma Eta Pi (SEP) to bring exclusive events for respective members. Additionally, LPH members receive priority at Annenberg events and we invite all our members who are interested, to represent USC Annenberg's LPH Chapter at the Annual National Communications Association Convention.
When am I considered a member and how do I pay my dues?
You will be inducted into LPH with the initiation ceremony after you have been formally invited and have paid all dues. The one-time LPH dues can be paid through checks, Venmo (@USC-LPH) or PayPal (usclph@gmail.com). Please include your first and last name, semester and year as well as the subject of payment for online payments (i.e. Tommy Trojan Fall 2017 - Dues).
What does it mean to be an active member or to maintain an active membership status?
To be considered an active member of LPH, members are required to attend three LPH sponsored or co-sponsored events per semester. These events can be a total of three academic events or two academic and one social. If you are unable to meet your three per semester event requirement, we also accept and encourage community volunteer work as part of your active status requirement.
When do I get my honors certificate and pin?
You will recieve your honors certificate and pin at the LPH Initiation night where you will be officially recognized as a member. Initiation is typically held mid-semester. If you are unable to attend initiation and would like to pick up your certificate, please email us, and once you're verified we can have it available at the next LPH event you are able to attend. Please be present to receive it.
I am interested in joining LPH E-Board. How do I apply and be considered?
LPH E-Board applications are available on a rolling basis depending on need. All LPH members will receive notifications through our newsletters regarding open positions.
Are events member exclusive?

Yes! All LPH academic events are member exclusive and require mandatory check-in.

Social events are open to all, but require a mandatory check-in for members to receive credit (toward their 3 per semester).

I am graduating! How do I get my honor cords?

Congratulations for your outstanding academic achievement and this high accomplishment! Honor Cords are handed out free-of-charge to active members of LPH. Be sure to complete your three events per semester requirement by the second week of April. Emails and announcements will be sent out with further details closer to April - please check back on our website under announcements if you did not receive an email.

If you have not maintained your active membership status and wish to purchase LPH honor cords, please Venmo (@USC-LPH) or PayPal (usclph@gmail.com) $20 with your first and last name, and subject (i.e. Tommy Trojan - Honor Cords).
